About Stephanie Venhaus, LPC
Stephanie began her work with children and adolescents as an elementary school teacher where she taught third grade and coached middle school sports for 14 years. Throughout this time, she discovered that she not only enjoyed teaching children, but also helping them through their life experiences.
Stephanie realized that her favorite part of working with children was building relationships, making conversations, and helping to navigate and solve challenges. She decided to pursue a career in counseling because she knew her passion was helping kids, outside of the classroom, navigate challenges throughout childhood and adolescence.
Education
Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University, Master of Art in Teacher Leadership from the University of Illinois, and her Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest.
