Cory began his work with adolescents and families in a psychiatric hospital setting while pursuing his master’s degree in professional counseling. He transitioned from a psychiatric hospital setting to a residential setting, where he was able to continue his work with adolescents and families. Upon completing his degree, Cory became a full-time therapist in a residential facility.
Throughout his experiences in the helping-field, Cory has gained a much greater understanding of the complex relationship between children/adolescents and their families, as well as observing the effects that trauma and mental health challenges can have on an individual’s development. These experiences have led him to specialize in working with adolescents who experience mental, emotional, social, and academic needs.
